More Butterflies

Hi Everyone,

I have made more butterflies, I made the frames a couple of weeks ago but became ill so was only able to paint them recently.

I made my 'Raspberry Beret' Butterfly, everytime I look at it I hear the song

I made another butterfly called 'Beauty Flies', inspired by the lovely Jackie Scott who suggested the title.

There are more on their way very soon

I really can't decide which of those is the most beautiful... they are all works of art, so pretty!

What are Buddhist Butterflies

I love butterflies, I think they are beautiful and enchanting; I am always mesmorised by their patterns and colours. The practice of collecting butterflies for display fascinates me but also makes me feel quite uncomfortable. The reason for this is the practice of catching and killing such beautiful creatures for our pleasure. I understand that collecting and breeding butterflies is a complicated issue, which incorporates factors such as ecology, habitat loss, species decline and many Lepidopterologists and Conservationists are working hard on these issues.

I decided that I could offer an altervative to an actual boxed butterfly by creating delicate paper and wire butterflies to be displayed in boxes. I sell these at The One Planet Shop in Accrington and online.
